Mine started off without a spec of real greenery... but here I am 4 months later and it has a total of 35 individual plants in it! I would never go back to plastic at this point as there are too many advantages to having real plants in a tank.

I strongly advise anyone reading this thread to also read Byron's 4 posts starting with A Basic Approach to the Natural Planted Aquarium--Part One. This kind of info is the kind you want to keep if you're serious about having a planted tank!

Same here, all planted. Alot of my enjoyment in regards to fishkeeping is the weekly cutting, pruning and propagation of plants each week. I'm grateful to Byron for taking the time to write up his article. It's always nice to have something to refer back to. Thanks, Byron!
