Decoration question

I was wondering if decorations rot?

I also was wondering what is the glue they use to stick them together?
It looks like glue from a glue gun.
Does anyone know?

I'm not sure what it's made of. It appears to just be plastic of some sort. Same stuff that every other decoration I've ever seen was made of.
