I had mature media, but I wanted to try out the fishless cycle. It went well for a while, I was getting ammonia and nitrite. I added more ammonia, then all my nitrite went away and I could not get it to come back. Ammonia tested above 8ppm, and I was told I had stalled the cycle. I had enough of it, so I changed all the water, through in some mature media and had fish back in it within an hour. I stick to my perferred method of cloning.
