corydoras keep dieing. please help

ive had my 55 setup for several months and is passed the cycle. i went through about 12 cories already. everyday i come home to another dead. i have about 4 kings of plants. i originally bought 6 emerald cory and all but 2 died the i got 6 panda cory and they all died. a week ago i just bought 4 more and they are already dead. i have about 15 other fish and they are fine. please help,. thanks in advance

What other fish are in the tank? Do you give them normal diet,lots of people think they can just live off of scraps. The temperature seems a little high,but nothing that seems like it would kill them off so fast. Just need a little bit more information.

can you post a pic of the unknown fish you have it sounds like they are getting stressed to death by another tank mate

2 neon tetras
4 swordtails
3 rio negro plecos
2 Siamese algae eaters
2 emerald cory (all thats left. is actually from the original batch i bought)
4 angel fish
3 Praecox Rainbow
2 freshwater clam

i feed them flakes and tetra gel mix(link below), also algae tabs occasionally.

Are you sure those readings are correct? What test kit are you using? Strips? Liquid? They should not all be reading 0 if your tank is cycled.

I agree with Andrew,unless the tank is heavily planted,, there should be some nitrAtes in a cycled tank with healthy biological filter.
Is very difficult to not have nitrate reading otherwise.
Would also try lowering the temp to around 75 degree's F which would be more comnfortable for the cory's and have no negative effect on other fishes mentioned.
Small pellet food's offered at night after light's off for the day will make it easier for the cory's to feed without other fishes grabbing most of the food.
Ammonia and nitrites must test zero all day,every day, and weekly 35 to 50 % water changes will benefit the fish.

i do have a about 20 plants in there(4 different kinds). i use the api liquid test kit and i also purchased the mardel strip test kit just to see if my kit was wrong. i really have no way of keeping the temp down on the tank, ive had this problem all summer it was about 81-85. now that it isnt as hot outside it will be easier as long as the room stays cooler. with that gel food i use alot of it does fall to the sand which the cories hop right on it.

If you have no way of controlling temperature,you may always run into problems

Are you acclimating the fish properly, or are you bringing them home and putting them immediately in the tank? Are you buying all these fish from the same place? It could be possible you are getting sick fish.

yes i believe i am acclimating them properly. i let the bag sit on top for about 1/2 hour. the slowly mix some tank water in the bag over another 1/2 hour. the first set i for from my lfs, the next got from online(as i did my other fish). and the last set i also got from my lfs
