Considering starting over on a 10 gallon.

I have a 10 gallon right now. I've had about 8 deaths. My 2 pregnant guppies, my pregnant Balloon Molly, a couple of males because of fighting, and a couple other females. Now, right now, everyone looks fine, no one else looks like they're about to croak, so I'm hoping i can transfer them into my 25 gallon before I lose another one to the snails.
What happens is the fish get stuck between my breeders net and the tank and the baby snails just glom on to them. It's horrible.

I'd wait for other opinions, but I was told balloon mollies had a high mortality rate during pregnancy because of the deformation of their bodies.

Hi Suzy:

I had the same experience when I started breeding live bearers such as guppies. I tossed out the breeder net and now just float live plants on the top of the water. Anachoris floats well and the moms and babies hide in it. I have not noticed over the years that I have any small fry batches with the floating plants compared to the breeder nets. I do move fish around when the tanks get to be too full. I hope this helps.

Ah, thanks guys. I would still like to get some more info and opinions. I got have some Anachoris as well, but I don't like how it was floating so I put about an inch in the gravel for each plant.
The larger/longer ones seem to be growing at a fast rate and I like that. I'm using Nutrafin Plant Gro and its like the Anachoris are "OM NOM NOM!", which is funny.
I also got a floating breeder which just happened to situate itself right on the glass which really put my mind at ease.
