Cloudy Water in Oscar tank

I have a 100 gallon oscar tank with two oscars and a pacu. For filtration I have a 55 gallon sump with a homemade wet dry filter. The filration is very good, my nitrates read almost nothing. My water is constantly cloudy, Idk if its the food....I know its not the filtration and I change a quarter of the water every week so does anyone know any solutions?....thanks

It could be many things though more information would be helpful. What color is the cloudy water? Namely is it a milky white, green, brown? Could be a bacteria bloom, substrate, something leaching into the water, food, something in the water itself from tap or from a hose used to fill the tank, etc....

Well its a milky white with a little of a green tint

I feed the hikari cichlid bio gold mainly but I mix it with sinking shrimp pellets

Would try changing half the water each week ,reduce feeding to once a day ,keep filter material clean weekly, or every other week .
Might also try reducing the lighting period if water is more green than white .
Is this newer tank? did gravel or sand substrate get rinsed well ?

well I recently overhauled the tank it was gravel bottom with a canister filter....but changed it to sand bottom about two weeks ago. The homeade sump and wet dry filter keep the water clean...its just cloudy
