| | Cleaning acrylic tank and Ehiem filter
I got a used acrylic 46 gallon bowfront and it looks like the guy we bought it from had a moss wall growing, then drained the tank and left it to dry and then ripped the moss off leaving dried algae all over the place. I know vinegar will probably clean it so I'm wondering if a soft blue (new) dish sponge would work (soft side, not scrubby) and/or a magic eraser from mr clean. Those things work wonders and don't need chemicals to work. I'd also be using warm water to wash, cold hose water to rinse.
Also I got a Ehiem 2215 with this tank. Does anyone know how to clean out the motor head? This house was HEAVILY infested with cat hair and we are going to do a super clean on everything.
And it came with a stand (coated in cat hair) and a nice air pump, water pump, current pump and 2 heaters.
can't complain about the condition of everything. It was completely FREE
