can I put other fish with them

I want to know if I can put other fish with mbuna cichlids. I want to put a cat, a pleco, some snails and shrimp, and maybe a Red Tailed Shark would that be ok to do or no?

Shrimps would no doubt be a meal for your cichlids.

rts should be fine. and plecos will also work out fine. as stated above, shrimp are a definite no no

what about ramshorn snails

as long as its not small enough to become a snack, it should be fine

Stick with MTS. Ramshorns are very vulnerable to attacks.

I have a albino Bristlenose Pleco, and a Common Pleco in my tank with my cichlids. My Common Pleco always has a chunk missing from one of his fins (my 9 inch livingstoni and the pleco have it out for each other) But common plecos are as solid as an army tank, and are very tough. Any fish you add to the tank you have to make sure that it is large enough to not become a pricey snack (their mouths are bigger than you think), and is hardy and strong enough to deal with the harassment that the cichlids will dish out from time to time. It is very difficult for me to add any fish to my tank (even a very large cichlid) and not have it beat up and harassed to death. Its easier when you add a group rather than one single fish, that way they arent focused on one single newbie to the tank.
I am not sure a cory cat would be able to stick it out in a cichlid tank, but I havent tried it before so I really don't know. But my experience with cichlids make me think that it may not go well. If you do add one, make sure you remove it if things get to rough for the little guy.
