bugs in my fish tank????

today I did a water change and after I got done draining I notice a bunch of little bugs crawling on the dry part of the glass they almost looked like light called nats kinda light brown water doesn't seem to kill them not sure where they came from my local fish store said they wouldn't harm fish that I could add some copper safe to remove but I would rather not add any chemicals if I don't have to my geo cichlids seem to be sensitive to meds any input would be great thanks

Hi! if they happen to be Amphipods or copepods I wouldn't worry about them some ppl say they are part of a healthy aquarium . Wait for confirmation tho as I am no expert! :)

Not sure what they are, but I would suspect harmless. I have miniscule bugs that hop on the floating plants. I know the fish eat them when they see them, but they are very tiny. Don't know if this is the same, I haven't noticed them on the glass. But there is a host of microscopic life in a healthy aquarium.

I could bet these are copepods! Just like snails they get rid of decaying matter and are readily eaten by fish so they are very good for aquarium! I found some in my aquarium on an Anubias leaf I cut the leaf off and put it under an extension of my telescope witch is actually a really strong magnifier they where one of the kinds of copepods!
