2nd i would see if you can et a eal with a LFS to trade them in for a small amount and eventually use the value to get things you need... or post them for sale her or other places....
if you are intent on discarding them though i would freeze them instead of flushing not for fear of attach but think of all the nasty things in the sewer system including waste, chemicals, and other wonderful things... maybe i am just a big softy but the snail did not ask to be here and i am sure if it cold a slow and painful exit would not be on the wish list either...
