I wanna use a branch from an ash tree is that safe it has no bark its dead and if i boil it and soak it for a couple days ?

Welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping forum.

I moved your post out of the old thread and started a new thread. While the general topic of wood is similar, your issue is different from the former so it is best to start a new thread. And more will now see it too.

I am thinking that ash is probably safe as far as the wood itself, if it is thoroughly dry/dead and all bark removed. But this is just a guess.

No, it is a secret we won't share.

Here you go. When you have the list of threads in the relevant sectio of the forum, at the top left there is a blue button "New Thread" that you click to start a thread.

While you are in an existing thread, the blue button "Add New Post" will post in that thread.
