thanks :) i just want it to be less cluttered in the middle. Im thinking maybe adding a wisteria plant in the middle maybe? I also have some java moss against the back wall that cant really be seen.

Your tank looks quite nice in my view, well done. I would suggest a background--seeing the wall and cords behind is distracting. Something as simple as black paper taped on the outside works fine, and black brings out the plant greens and fish colours nicely. You can buy inexpensive black patterned paper at the lfs; I wouldn't go with a picture of plants though, as that would definitely distract more from your nice plants that should be the focus, not the backdground, which at present is competing with the interior.

I also think jeaninel and kim are correct that one piece of bogwood set off-centre, either to the left or right, would add a lot; kim's idea of a twig-type is worth considering, and it wuld add structure without mass and the tetras like swimming around twigs. I would then move the centre plant just to which ever side is opposite where the wood goes. It is better not to have anything dead centre, and it would make the tank seem more spacious. Things placed in th centre always make the eye think the space is smaller.

I also like the tank as is. If you wanted a different look, then I would also suggest that you add in a long skinny piece of wood going diagnally. You may have to re-plant your center plant a little more toward the back, but I think that it would make a huge difference. Another thing to think about is maybe a substrate color change. Some eco-complete for the plants and black tahitian moon sand would really make your neons pop with color.

im beginning to agree with the drift wood but im kinda confues on how to lay it. should it lean against the back wall and the bottom against the left part of the ground or whwat?

That's a bit difficult to answer because it actually depends upon what you want the tank to look like. The twig wood idea like kim suggested was good because that sort of wood is not going to take up much space and in a small tank that is worth remembering; like gravel, wood and rocks displace water so it takes up fish space. If you find a piece of bogwood that has a shape allowing it to be placed say diaganolly on the bottom so that fish can get under it, you have a nice looking hideout that catfish especially would make use of.
