They give a light requirement of .25w per liter which is roughly 1 watt per gallon, so that would be moderate.

Well I'm glad I could come up with something even you haven't uncovered before! I have 1.5 watts per gallon so I think it would do well in my tank. Should I give it a shot?

Just kidding--unless you live in Canada; it's not worth sending fish/plants due to the issues at the border. Same either direction.

Oh yeah unfortunately I live in new York but I will let you know how it goes. So just called the pet store and they confirmed what plant species they have in. I am going to add the florite tomorrow so the dust can settle by the weekend. On ether Saturday or Sunday I am going to go and purchase
- 3 pieces of Pygmy chain sword
- a cutting of Java Moss
- a Brazilian Pennywort
- 2 pieces of Corkscrew Vallisneria

Btw here is the tank in it's current state Byron I know you have seen this before but this time I will be much more flexible in the placement of the driftwood. The bubbler and the artificial plant will both be coming out. So how would you lay out the plants?

I would put the Vallisneria in one rear corner, and the Pennywort in the other rear corner. And the swords one at either end of the wood. Moss obviously on the wood, in a crevice so it can take hold.

Alright I think the Val on the left and the pennywort on the right. I am going to put the swords as you suggested and the final one just to the right if the Rock. What do you think of the current hardscape?

I would put the rock in the back right corner as far as hardscape. If you really want to do it right with plants though I would suggestion switching your substrate to eco-complete especially if you use tap water because of its high CEC which is Cation-exchange capacity, which is the amount of nutrients a soil is capable of storing.

I actually have been using RODI water for this tank. I am switching the substrate over to a fertilizing one just not ecocomplete. I am using the black Flourite sand. I would assume they preform similar tasks?
