Aquarium Bubbles

So as mentioned in my other thread about seperating my fish into different tanks, I mentioned that there were bubbles/foam on the top of my 1 gallon tank's surface. I have yet to add a fish in the tank and I was wanting to know what was making this happen. With the bubbles/foam or whatever there's no way to feed a fish when it's going to be distracted by the bubbles or won't see the food...I put a video of it on YouTube, so here's what it is doing:

One thing that I can see is that the air pump is WAY too much for the tank. Second, I went back through you previous post. I would tear it all down rewash the gravel and the tank using nothing but warm tepid water. Rinse the gravel thoroughly. Then rinse it again. My guess is that there is something in the gravel causing this. Add to the fact that the air pump is too big. You may be able to throttle the air flow by getting a distribution valve and bleeding off some of the air pressure. Oh, by the way, rinse the gravel again.

The air pump came with that tank. That's how big all the pumps are that come with the 1 gallons. I think the same size for the 2.5 as well. So I don't know what to do...

I have rinsed it three times...but after the third time it was looking better. I shall try it once more!

it's surprising how much muck can be in the gravel.
