How true is this sites advise?? They tell me I should have more filtration?? But where you put the spec's in,it dos'nt say anything about live plants????? And they are filtration, that I know know!I work midnights so I'am to tired to go through to specs of my tank.....if you want to see....check out my profile.

First, go easy on your question mark key, it doesnt help solve things faster

Its pretty rough, but I am assuming that you are upset, because AqAdvisor is telling you that you should have more filtration and you disagree. AqAdvisor does NOT take plants into account, and while they tried to make it as inclusive as they could, you cant program every single variable. Unless AqAdvisor is telling you the filtration is WAY WAY off, I wouldnt worry about it. AqAdvisor is a tool, not the final word. And yes, having a planted tank somewhat reduces your need for additional filtration.

If you have not had any problems with your tank, I wouldnt worry about what some website says. Take the panic lever back a notch, are you having problems with your tank?

Agreed, AqAd is great for planning a tank, but I have a tank right now that should be dead according to AqAd, since it's at well over 200% stocking level.

Of course it's planted, and ammonia, nitrite is 0, and nitrate holds low even with very few water changes.

No I'am not having problems with my tank........now. I struggeled for 3 months with my tank to get it cycled. And I've finally got things stable after putting alot of time and money into this tank! And I read my tank may be unstable? Sorry, I had a long night at work.....maybe I over reacted! If it was'nt for the help on this site, I may have never got this far and all my fish would have died . But I have to get some sleep and a fresh head on my shoulders, I just worked a 16 hr shift! Take care people .

Haha 16 hours shifts are fun. My record is 81 hoursin 4 days. My supervisor cleared 110 hours that week. Of course he also cleared 100k that year on an hourly wage. Was fun and good money but messes with your head, I was hallucinating sometimes by the end of the week.

I agree with red. Aq advisor says most my tanks should spontanusly combust any moment.

I believe AQadvisor is made so that it is 100% stocked at 80% to make sure you not over stock.
so when you are 100% you are in fact 80% full
