Anyone Ever Wonder...?

I have a Nutrafin water parameters test kit (Ammonia, pH, Nitrites, Nitrates). Ammonia and pH are simple enough: add x drops to the tube and check. Nitrites and Nitrates however are a different matter: add 5 drop of bottle #1, and 5 drops of bottle #2, and check. So... why are the two bottles for nitrites and nitrates different in size (17ml and 10ml) if I am adding the same amount of liquid (drops) everytime I test? Anyone ever wonder... (if someone out there is taking advantage of us)...???

I used to have a JBL kit, same bottle sizes BUT the amounts added from each bottle differed, I hated it LOL cause you will run outta 1 bottle and then of cause gotta toss the other one just because - I had found it stupid they should measure it so you can use up BOTH before running out.
