I have been putting a clamp light on my Cabomba again to get it to perk up after the devastation that my Leporinus caused them. I have noticed that whenever I do this my Tiger Babs and on occasion my Gourami all come and hang out in the direct light. The Barbs will float head down, sleeping in the light for hours. I left it on most of the day and for most of the day, they have been in and out of that light. They rest in the light for about a 1/2 hour then swim around for a bit and come back to the light.
I wonder if other's notice their fish enjoying the light. I assume the warmth but my tank is set at 79 degrees which is good for Barbs. Even my Gourami seems to enjoy hanging in the light which is funny when reading most of the fish descriptions many read that they like dark areas to hide.
Are my fish just weird, or do others enjoy the sunlight (in this case clamp light) ?
