Advice required

Hi there

I have 7 corydoras, 1 betta and a Rabbit Snail that were in a 75 litre tank. Unfortunately it sprung a leak today and I have had to put them in a spare tank which is only 35 litres, I know it is too small. I have transferred some of the substrate, a few decs and the two filters from the old tank so there won't be any cycling issues.

I am wondering if they will be okay in there for a few weeks, with frequent water changes, until I can buy a new tank.

Any advice gratefully received.

I don't see why not!? Cory's are not very big, you have a group, you are maintaining water quality and the have the necessary bacteria. Just try to replace the tank as soon as you can.

Should be fine...but why not reseal the leaking tank?

I'm a bit scared of doing that, plus I rather manhandled the tank in my haste to stop my carpet from getting soaked further and get my fish safely rehoused. At first I thought it was just a misdirected spray bar and just made an adjustment and topped up the tank which had lost 15 litres of water. As the day went on I realised there was still a problem and went into panic mode. I'll see if I can enlist my LFD's help as I'm an oldish lady who lives alone.
