Absolute bargain!!

Managed to find a tank for sale 54" x 24" x 24" @ £10, perfect condition, looks like iv got a new project to start. Alot cheaper than the bespoke 1 i was going to get size 48" x 36" x 36" @ £450.

Whats your greatest bargain finds that have turned out to be diamonds?

I never really get any bargains. I go the same LFS and there is no bargains on anything.
I bought a 40 Litre tank for £60 from the LFS came with filter and heater though.
My LFS doesnt do second hand stores.

To find bargains you have to be checking craigslist, or if there is a local fish keeping forum with a forsale forum that is even better.

I might have been able to get a bargin on my large 125 gallon tank if I had been patient enough, and diligent enough, to watch craigs list. But 95% of the time people sell their stuff for far more than it's worth used. Like they'll sell a 10 gallon with assorted junk for $50 ... I can buy a whole new setup for $5 more =/

Or they'll sell a 55 gallon for $80-100 ... when you can buy the tank new for $55 from Petco when they do their $1/gallon sale.

Then other times you see a 250 gallon for $300 which is a good deal (provided the tank dosen't leak/cracked/etc) but I have no where to put something like that =)

i did see a bargain once when i visited Florida in walmart,the tank was
a fantastic price,but getting it home would have been nigh on impossible
without major grief,seeing as i live in England lol
