As of Saturday, my 55g is fully cycled (finally!) and I am planning out the fish and live plants for the aquarium. The aquarium currently has:

6 Harlequin Rasbora

4 Neon Tetra
Along with some Aponegetons, Amazon Swords, and Hornwort

Here's my stocking plan:

20 Neon Tetra
6 Harlequin Rasbora
6 Albino Cory
2 German Blue Ram (Finally saw two at my LFS - they are beautiful in person)
4 Oto Cats
1 Yellow or Black Molly
1 Dalmatian Molly (My girlfriend's choice)
1 Highfin Platy
1 Sunburst Platy
1 Twinbar Platy
5 Ghost or Cherry Shrimp

Hello and welcome to TFK Just a couple of notes on the current stocking list. With livebearers it is recommended that if you have both males and females in the tank that you keep them in at least a 2:1 female to male ratio. Male livebearers have to basic things on their mind, to eat and to reproduce. If you have one male and one female or more males than females in a tank, the male will constantly harass the female, creating much stress on the female which can lead to sickness or death.Also with the German Blue Rams, they require a higher temp than the other fish in your listing require. Also Blue rams can be more sensitive to the hardness and ph of the water. Another option to the blue rams would be the Bolivian Ram which would work better. Agree with Barb. The temp difference between neons and rams makes them non-compatible. And would also suggest more Harlequin Rasbora, if the present end total is 6; a larger group of this species works better, say 9-12.
