Thank you all very much!
Honestly that's a very good idea, right now it's lights out time but tomorrow I shall add around the base of the new stump for sure.
beetlebz, your severums would love you for it. I wanted to do one for years too and it felt good to finally take that leap! You'll be glad when you do it.
Blackwater set ups with pieces of branchy wood, rocks, leaf litter and maybe some twisted roots with little floating vegetation are simple and fun to arrange IMO and I don't think I'm going to grow tired of maintaining this one. I'm already planning my next one which will be for chocolate gouramis,
Glass Catfish and maybe some otto's. Kuhlis are also being considered.
As for the current stock: 2 angelfish (not a breeding pair but have been housed together for several years), 2 ram cichlids, 5
Silver Hatchetfish, 9 rummy nose tetras, 4 pando cories, 1 BN pleco.
and 2 mystery snails 1 gold & 1 chestnut. These may be the odd men out non-native to BW...not positive but I've heard mystery snails may not be the best for BW but I love them and so far they just crawl on my leaves but don't munch on them that I've noticed.
