40g Breeder?

so i saw one of these for the first time today...and im kinda in love.

are there any drawbacks to this shape?

im currently leaning towards upgrading my 55gs to 75s because i think they are too narrow.

so when i saw this i think its great.

They're pretty sweet! With them not being so tall you dont need as much light to grow plants. The only draw back is they dont hold as much water obviously.

that doesnt make sense? 40g is 40g its wider instead of taller so its still the same size just different dimensions correct?

According to AqAdvisor a 40 gallon long will hold 39.9 gallons while a 40 gallon breeder will hold 44.9 gallons. Someone smarter than me will have to tell you why though. I think that Jwest just meant a 40 gallon holds less than a 55 gallon. At least that's how I took it.

Makes sense what u say!

I brought up the 55g vs 75g to illistrate that depth> height for me I guess

I would assume that for the fish this would be correct as well

the post was about the 40 breeder. i mentionied the 75g bc im upgrading my 55 gallon tanks to 75s because i prefer the depth. which is why i like the 40 breeder over a regular 40g.

sorry if that post upset you, i just reread it and it makes sense to me why i mentioned it.
