20 Gal Tank Help

I currently have 2 (4-5 months old) weather loaches and a small bristlenose catfish, i wanted to get some top feeder fish , because everything i have is bottom feeder, the tank looks really empty, so i was thinking 3-4 White cloud minnows or gold medakas? Good Idea or bad idea for more fish? I will get a larger tank in 1-2 years. Thanks in advance.

What is your tanks filtration, how planted is your tank?

I might try to re-home the weather loaches. Those things have no business in a 20-gallon, even as juveniles. 5 Kuhli Loaches would be much more suitable inhabitants for your aquarium. And that would allow you to put basically whatever small schooling mid-to-topwater fish that you want in there.

Give the bristlenose some driftwood.
