20 gal long to small?

I have 5 angels in a 75 gal and there all pretty young guessing between 3 and4 months old i plan to breed them but my intention are to see them pair off...(hopefully) and then put the pair in a 20 long to spawn and then remove the parents is this an ok idea? Any advice?

I would personally believe that that tank would be too small. Its not very high only 12" . When they get bigger they won't be able to move very well in that tank. A 25 or 29 gallon would be okay though as it is taller.

It depends upon the size of the fish. Angelfish can spawn while still relatively small, say 2+ inches in length (mine did) and a 20g would work for these. But if you have larger fish, increase the space accordingly. A 30g [29g, 25g are very close] is generally suggested for a spawning pair.
