They will not be a good choice for your tank (really, they are not good choices for any tank unless you really like them, and want a large tank with just them).
No fish is good at algae control. The best form of algae control is to reduce nutrients (weekly water changes) and reduced light intensity/duration. Oto Catfish will eat some forms of algae, but they are a soft water fish and quite small, need to be in a peacful tank. Plecos will eat some forms of algae as juveniles, but they stop as they mature. Snails will eat it if they have to, but they'll go for dead/dying plant mater and left over food first.

In the case of the CAE, read the profile, it says specifical how the fish is not named well.
Some fish do eat some forms of algae, for example the Oto Catfish, but I already mentioned why they won't work in your tank.
If you keep the nutrients down and don't leave your lights on all day, algae isn't a problem in the first place.

Luckily I havent had a problem with it yet. I may end up taking those fish back, no use for them at this point. I need a good bottom dweller to pick up the scraps, and good suggestions for my setup?
