UV light over tank

Someone asked me the other day whether or not it would be okay to put a blacklight over his aquarium. Is this safe for the fish?

I'd say scientifically it is safe, since black lights give off UVA light, which is not harmful., unlike the harmful UVB radiation. However, the fish might react negatively towards it. Fish sometimes act negatively towards Lunar LED lights, might take some time of getting used to.

Is your friend doing this as a night-time effect?
