Too much powerhead
I found a couple of Maxi-jet powerheads at a yard sale, complete with most parts, hardly used, cheap. I plopped them on riser tuber in my 55gal (no fish yet) and plugged them in. I thought the tank would start spinning the water was moving so much. This'll be way too much. So, without going out and buying some smaller power heads, should I
1) use just the old Whisper 3 HOB that I have had stored away (assuming I can find some parts for it, and is it even big enough for a 55gal?) or...
2) Use the Rena Air 400 that is now on my 30 High and run an undergravel system, then get a smaller pump for the 30gal?
Thanks for the help.
