TetraTec PF 500?

I have been looking around at some used tanks in my area, and I have found one that looks pretty impressive.

It is a used, 30 Gallon tank (I know it is small, but I don't have a lot of space in my room) that comes with a heater, live plants, light, ornaments, gravel, suction cleaner and fish. It also comes with two filters - an undergravel filter, and a TetraTec PF 500. I Google'd that, and I saw that it looks like a pretty decent filter. I want to know whether it is a good or bad filter compared to others on the market.

Due to the nippy nature of barbs, I think you shoul rethink stocking them with fish like the gouramis. Fry from the platys would be fair game for gouramis.

A few aquarium product manufacturers have banded together to form two brand new companies. Tetra is a member of one of these groups. Although, there are better filters on the market, the TetraTec line is a decent filter. It is all about flow rate. This one should do a good job for you.

Ok, thanks for the input. I would think two filters in a 30 Gallon would work pretty decenty...

I will try to email the guy tommorow.

Oh, by the way, Happy New Year Everybody.
