Tank Substrate

hey all,
I'm re-doing my tank and am making it 100% natural. Can I use the same "pond dirt" in my tank for plants that I do in my pond? Will it hurt my fish? The comp is clay, loam and peat moss, it's made specifically to not cloud the water or float but I don't want to hurt the fish. Anybody know anything about this please give me a shout...Thanks.

I wouldn't risk that as the pond can harbor many pathogens or harmful organisms which you wouldn't want to invade in the tank.
Why not try to make another one? Just don't get the one in the pond.

I agree with Blue. You don't want to risk infecting your tank.

Blue and lil pleco, thanks for the reply. I wasn't being clear though I guess. I'm not going to use the same dirt from my pond, just the same composition in an indoor tank.

It's ok, mate.:)
The combo of those is safe for the tank.
