Standard Hose Pipe

Hi all,

This might sound like a daft question, but ive searched around and could not find an answer, hopefully someone could answer it

Is it safe to refill your tank with a off the shelf hose pipe, such as yellow, green etc, will it leech anything into the tank or would it be better to get normal tubing what you would use for external pumps?

They are fine for water changes and short term use, I do it every week and don't have any problems. Just make sure you run clean water through the hose before you use it.

.... I'm probably drunk.

This is how I lurk

I purchased a lead free Marine/RV hose that I use to fill my tanks with. This hose is used only for my tanks and nothing else. In my mind, better safe than sorry.

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...
