Stained silicone from medication

So I've been treating my small QT tank lately with Ick Clear (Victoria green/Formalin) and the silicone in my tank is of course stained blue now. Will I ever be able to have invertibrates in that tank again or will the stained silicone slowly release the toxic meds in the water and kill them?

Dang no way...That is not cool, normally they don't stain the silicone.
See on a edge if you can wipe it off with vinegar (do NOT get the vinegar into the tank water!).
If so, I'd poor the tank water into bucked move Betta & Snails over, clean out the tank with vinager followed by bunch hot water and put everything back together.

I don't have a betta and snails. :) Just a lone platy in there right now. I'll need to do a full tear down anyways this weekend to clean up after the fish had ich.

I'm sorry I just totally mixed you up with another member who has a small tank, recently medicated (and starts with L too)...I'm so sorry!!!!

Yea then move the play to a bucked for the time being with the tank water and clean it. Just like I said vinegar + sponge should take it off, but then ensure to rinse it our with hot water few times.

Please let me know if this works. The silicone in my tank has been stained blue for over 20 years. I just assumed it was permanent.

Nope, the vinegar didn't touch it. So I filled it up and dosed the tank again so the silicone is uniform. *shrug*

My worry is that it will leach the victoria green...
