PH/KH problems need help.

i moved my freshwater 40 gal 4 months ago. i used the same rocks and about 1-2 inches of the original water. i let it run to cycle. i have been testing the water and been having trouble getting it balanced. my test are: PH less than 6, NO2- 0, NO3- 80, NH3/NH4- 0, and my KH is 0. i tested my tap water and PH is 8.2 and again i am getting a KH of 0. for the fish i plan on putting in the tank i require a ph of 7, and a KH of 6-8. i have tried water changes, neutral regulators and ph up, with no joy on raising the ph or KH. any help would be appreciated

a kh of zero? jeez something's wrong with ur water...
I think the problem is that you're using chemicals to change you ph. Those seem to cause more problems than they're worth. I believe the lower the kh, which low kh can cause ph swings? And already being at 0, that might be why it is lowering so much?
