Overhauling plumbing/filters for new 130g tank

I'm replacing two tanks (a 38 and a 45g) with a single custom-built 130g of rather odd dimensions: 79" long, 22" tall, 17.4" wide. I have two Rena XP2's right now and they're pretty good, but I think the new tank will be better off with a single canister filter of higher capacity.

Regarding the plumbing: I hate, hate, hate tubing. It kinks, it's ugly, the fittings aren't always trustworthy. I want to do the new system with nothing but PVC. Are there canister filters that support this? I was thinking of getting an Eheim 2080, but I see that it uses flexible tubing... is there any way to replace that connection with rigid pipe? I suppose I can run the tubing a short distance into the PVC via adapter, but I'd rather not deal with it at all.

I'm vaguely aware of pond filter systems that use PVC, but I'm not sure they'd be appropriate.

I'm also curious if there are any in-line heaters or UV sterilizers that work with PVC. I have a couple sterilizers, but they seem to be meant for tubing only.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
