Well I lived in Madison Wisconsin in the middle 60's and went to La Follette High. My dad - Canadian Forces - was station at Truax Air Field base, even though he was Army. At that time, Truax was the headquarters for 45th Division of NORAD. My dad had just finished a 6 month course in nuclear warfare in Norfolk Virginia and his primary job at Truax was to warn Canada if a "nuc war" was impending; he was also in logistics. I ended up going to College in Chicago where I lived for 7 years.

I'm thinking that a closed tank is the way to go, you all have left out one other factor...lol!.... the cat. I think the cat votes for "Open" tank. Of course I'm not being fair as I didn't meantion the cat. Actually I'm not so worried that he will "capture" fish, more I"m worried he'll jump over to the "top" of the tank to check the fish out. And needless to say, if there is no top.........

LOL! That would be funny though.

My cats are not allowed on top of the tanks. One of them being up there could add a whole 16lbs to the tank. I'd rather not have that much weight walking around on my glass tops, let alone jumping onto them.

.... I'm probably drunk.

This is how I lurk
