Yes there are night lighting for fresh water tanks. You can order some from Pet Solutions or Liveaquaria.com or buy lights that come with lunar lights. I have two on my 48" Satellite, which most lighting set ups come with LED glow lights for the night.

Lunar Lights go around 10 bucks if you order them alone.

I prefer to just move next door to a neurotic neighbor that lights up the entire neighborhood to discourage thieves. :P

Actually, if you have the money, there's a new LED tank light out that does the 365 day schedule to include solar inclination and lunar cycles. If I ever do a SW tank, I REALLY want this light. Don't remember the name, but I know it's in the 4 digit range for cost :(

I use light cycles, including L.E.D. lunar lights, on 6 of my display tanks. I am doing an experiment to see if it has any effect on the plants and inhabitants. So far, results inconclusive.

Do these lights at night affect the fish at all in a negative way?
