Look over the planted section of our forums you will find tons of help there also a good place to start will be to read the stickies in that section titled A Basic Approach to the Natural Planted Aquarium there are 4 parts while long they are a great place to start and should answer a few questions you might be having a raise a few more you never thought about before.

After that post your questions in the plant area of the forums you should get a much better response to any questions you ask.

BTW welcome to TFK!
