Cool New 10g Filter

I have a 10g and i have kept the old filter. it has been 7 years! It has started to rattle off and on and i thought i would treat my-self to a new filter. Does anyonehave any suggestions?
thanks,
Cam

P.S. The tank is a guppy breeding tank.

For a ten gallon tank used for breeding? I'd go with a sponge filter. It'll provide all the filtration you'll need without the danger of sucking fry up into the unkind impeller of a power filter.
