need help with heaters

what brand of heater is good? i have a 5 gal and 10 gal i need a heater for. are therma-flow hang on the back heaters any good? i need a heater that i can adjust the temp on.

The visotherm stealth is the one I see recommended most out of all heaters. If your tank is larger than 10 gallon, one heater larger than you need is also recommended by most when following the 5 watts/gallon rule.

yeah I use the visitherm stealth and it works great. THe regular visi-therm glass tube heaters work just as well, you just have to be careful of potential shattering as with most heaters. Rena and Hydor make good ones too. Just get one that is fully submersible and has the built in thermostat. Try to stay in the 3-5 watts/gallon rule and you should be fine. FOr tanks 50 gallons and above I suggest 2 heaters.
