Nano Tank Heaters

Hey! I have a question for all of you out there! We had to set up a tiny tank to temporarily keep our Blue Lobster since our fish in our 20gallon tank got ich...

The tiny tank is probably 3 gallons and will eventually become a shrimp nano tank. However in the meantime its our blue lobster's vacation home. The problem is the heater... I have a small heater (very small) that works great in our 6gallon tank, but this morning when we checked the temperature in the 3gallon went all the way up to the 90s!!! it has no dial to adjust the temperature... thankfully our lobster didn't cook over night!

Do you have any recommendations for heaters for nano tanks?

Well that's interesting. I have 2 small 25 watt heaters that say for use up to 5 gallons. I also just found a 3 gallon that I will set up for RCS, and I want to use one of my small heaters for that tank. My understanding with one of them, that is pre-set, it will shut off at 79 degrees. Is it possible it doesn't have some type of auto shut off. You probably want to find a 15 watt heater

or the tetra automatic preset heaters. Ive used them all the way from 5g to 20g and they work great, but they can be a little weak depending on the ambient air and thermal convection in the room. they are consistent though!

Dedicated, converted, lowes / home depot bulb buyer!
