Monlight on FW tank

Would it cause stress to fish? I mean, do they need a complete blackout, or can I have the blue light alternate with the flourescent (flourscent during the day, blue at night). I have installed some blue LED's :) Just want to make sure I'm not harming the fish or the plants.

you wont harm them mate! the simulation of moonlight is fine. it happens in nature! although not with blue LEDS.

The blue leds will harm the fish or plants. I use them also on my 125 gallon (473 liter) FW tank. I only leave the blue leds on for a few hours, in case it disturbs the fish. The blue leds is nice becuase it allows you to sort of see activity at night.
