"Media Filter water"

i have no clue what this is but... i was wondering i am going to buy a 10 gallon tank and would it work out if i put the water from my 3 month old tank in my 10 gallon one and just do water changes for 1 week, every 2 days 25%?

What are you trying to accomplish?

A tank without a filter?
If so, this is a bad idea.

If you are trying to help get the nitrogen cycle going....
It wouldn't hurt anything.

What do you plan to keep in your 10 gallon tank?
Decorated? Gravel? Fish?
