I Need some info on the benefits or drawback of using sand as a substrate as compared to gravel. May sound unimportant for the seasoned aquarist, I am not that, and this is a desire to be of benefit to both my fish and my plants in a new aquarium setting.
with peat moss covered with sand I also find that kh and gh remain low and fish like neon tetras do much better.
