Lighting help new juwel tank

Hi everyone new member and first time fishtank user I got the girlfriend a new juwel rio125 for Xmas and the light will stay on for 30 min then cutout have to switch them off then on again about 30min later any one have any ideas help would be greatly aprechiated

Hello and welcome to fishforum. It sounds like a connection maybe lose in the light. Or a heat sensor issue if the bulb is getting too hot it might be shutting itself off? Kinda sounds off the wall but hey ya never know.
You could also try calling the manufacture and see if they will replace it for you.

It could be the bulb or the starter. Since it's still new, I wouild get a replacement.
