The ladder or diffusor is a good one and often recommended as a first step with any bubbles that escape going into a canister ot HOB filter intake. As for the system itself, I have not seen anything about any of them because they are unreliable and cost a small fortune to operate. If you want to go with a small setup, go with DIY CO2 in two 2 liter bottles and get a ladder like the one form the kit. If the tank is 40 gallons or more, pressurized is really the only way to go to get the levels you need and keep them constant.

My lfs is trying to get me to get one so he can tell hius customers of the quality. I currently run two pressurized systems. I might try it just for my lfs. I don't like the idea of cleaning the new system, though. Changing CO2 bottles is really easy. The difference in price of the systems is rather large. Petsolutions says that your system is their prime seller when it comes to CO2 systems, if that is of any consequence to you.

Actually I was curious about the system myself and so I ran one in our plant tank at the store. It is hard to tell because there are so many other factors that go into growing plants but I did seem to notice slight improvement. However...it was able to deliver CO2 bubbles to a pretty good depth and so therefore it works I would suggest putting a check valve on the tubing just to prevent any accidental siphoning.
