I plan to get a lot more fish Thursday (big sale)
I'll take pictures then.. The amount of fish in there now will hardly be seen when the whole tank is pictured.

Well appearantly I'm not going to get anymore fish Thursday.. My nitrogen cycle still hasn't taken hold.

That floss I got from the pet store didn't do the trick. He sad they had it in there for a while (month like) so why didn't it work?

I still have no traces of NO2 or NO3
and my ammonia is rising oh so slowly

I added some of the floss to my small tank that is fishless
The ammonia in there is high and it is the same with no traces of NO2 or NO3..

How long should this take before I at least see some NO2?
I saw that starting from scratch it should take 3-4 weeks. But I added used filter floss from the local pet store. Shouldn't that have boosted it?

you can help your filter quite a lot by using Seachem Stability, that is what i always do, it really works.

HAhaha, it's funny you should suggest that because I just picked up a $20 bottle of that stuff last night!!! Glad to know you endorse it!

Your tank looks really good. I like that you are going to have tons of little fish in a huge tank, Thats what I wanted to do. I was disappointed, I thought you got rid of your eye but then I spotted it behind the plant. Freakin sweet tank! If you don't mind me saying, I think you should add some kind of moss or something and make it look like it's growing up towards the eye :D That would look really cool.... Unless it did grow up towards the eye, that could be a bit of a pain.

Water is starting to cloudy up.

I have one cycled tank now. Once I get the second filter up and running I will leave it in the cycle tank for a week or two and then move it to this tank to try and get the nitrogen cycle going.

In the meantime, here are a few pictures of my fish in this tank.
Flame Tetras are at peace with the horrible non cycled tank.


The guppies rarely leave the top despite my ammonia finally being down. (.25)



My wife is bored with this tank. She likes the 55 in the bedroom that has the fish that will out grow it in a year...
