Heater experience results

I have tried Aqueon, Jager, Fluval, Hydor, and Cobalt heaters to try and determine the heater I will settle on for all future purchases. I haven't seen anything to recommend or not recommend any brand. I have dealt with Truaqua (dealer for Aquatop products) and find them very customer oriented so I wou like to do business with them on the heater I need for my QT and spare heaters. They are located within driving distance from my home. They also are currently featuring free shipping. I could probably settle on Aqueon because of the plastic cover reducing the breakage worry and the lifetime warranty except that they are too long for my betta and QT mounted either vertical or horizontal thus making them unusable in those tanks if the Aquatop heater experience is negative. That would mean I could settle on the Hydor heaters since they are the only ones that will work.

I'm trying to make sure that I get the most bang for my buck after the experiment with all the brands.

To end this essay has anybody used the Aquatop analog heaters? If so what was you experience?

i have an aquatop 100 watt heater on my 10 gallon half moon tank.i know it seems like overkill however, this tank is in a very drafty room in minnesota.right now it is -20 outside. i have had this heater for over a year and have had zero problems with it.
you can see it here.

Heater experience extended

I did forget one thing on the Fluvsl E heater. It has a water flow detection built in. My experience with that is unless the filter output is directed at the heater the water flow sends an error signal. I have yet to discover what if anything happen if the error signal is ignored.
