Is it ok to use 2 power/overhang filters for a tank? I have a 46-gal with an AquaClear filter (can't remember the model offhand, but it is for a 50-gal), and a friend gave me a brand new Penguin BioWheel filter for a 50-gal. I'm wondering... could I use these both on a 46-gal, or is this too much?

Thanks all for putting up with my ignorance and noob questions. You guys are such a great resource! If only the LFS was half this good!

46-gallon bowfront freshwater w/
6 tiger barbs
5 gold barbs
4 blue (3-spot) gouramis
2 kribensis cichlids
2 albino cory catfish
1 featherfin syndontis catfish
2 mystery snails
2 marble snails
various live plants (12)

Agree with BN.:)
Nothing wrong with that so you should be fine.

Can't trust lfs these days unless they knew what they were talking about.

Yeah that should be just fine man!

Those are two great filters, probably some of the best HOB's on the market.
