Extra surface agitation

I'm worried that my tank doesn't have enough surface agitation. The only thing oxygenating the tank right now is the filter, a magnum 350 in an 85 gallon tank (there's no fish in it yet). I'm just not convinced that air stones are the way to go, and I don't really want a wall of air bubbles.

What's your favorite, most discreet equipment you use for this?

Leave the water just low enough that the water returning from the filter actually has to fall into the tank. Best way I can think of.

Next would be to use a powerhead to spray air into the tank. Could be done at the bottom if you wanted to. Most descent powerheads come with a connection for airline.

Yeah, I've got the water falling about an inch from the filter back into the tank right now. I think I'll add a small/cheap powerhead since I can disguise it pretty well behind the top edging of the tank.
