Hey, you never told me about using this product! Is this something I should get to use in my Discus tank?? Like you say, I don't have much waste anyway, too many water changes, lol.

We should! Do you, by chance, belong to the Sacramento Aquarium Society? I go to their meetings ever month.

I would not use that. You don't need it.

Their general meetings are the first Saturday of each month 7pm at the Round Table on Madison and Greenback. So Feb. 5th is the next one. You don't have to be a member to attend. They usually have a speaker, raffle prizes and a mini auction at each meeting. They have a mega auction twice a year. here's link to their website:

Seachem. Purigen

I firmly believe people hit their tanks way to often with unnecessary things, when all that is necessary is to start off with quality, healthy stock, frequent water changes, NO gravel if you lack housekeeping skills, and QT.

On our discus site, I can't tell you how many times, folks pop in with ill discus. It is heartbreaking. All have gravel that is loaded with crap, worms, rotten food. Underground filters are the worse.

Discus take a lot of dedication and hard work.

Sorry, on a roll here:)
