Does anyone know how much a cust aquarium costs and is it per gallon or do they need to see the plans?

Many things come in to account.
size, material, shape, special modifications.

What are you thinking of doing? Most custom places will have you give them specifics and quote you a price.

I have 2 tanks that i have plans for. These will be display tanks for a small business.

Acrilic tanks with a stand. resesed 6 inches into to the stand is where the tank sits. A canopy with the tank resesed 3 inches into it. The tank will be 8x4x3 and aproximately ( pardon my spelling) 718 gallons with air hoses and filtration hoses drilled into the bottom. with a rock wall in the middle of the tank (designed so that you can walk around it so you can see from all side) 2 ft long and 6 inches wide.

Built the same way but 5x2.5x3 280 gallons.

To be honest, you might want to build your own stand/canopy and just have the tank custom drilled in the center (I'm assuming you want the rock formation to cover up all drilled holes). To make your own "rock" center piece what you could do is use great stuff expanding foam and build it yourself. Just line up the intake tubing and output with tubing and put the expanding foam over or build a box in the center and surround that with the expanding foam. To make caves and holes just use a razor blade after the foam has cured and cut them out yourself. Then you could cover the foam with black silicone/co-co fiber to make it look attractive. If you wanted live plants you could plant all over the rock formation. As far as building your own stand/canopy, it really isn't very hard. Just build a frame for it out of 2x4's and put paneling/doors/molding or whatever you want. That would be the best/cost efficient way, though it is a bit of work on your part.

Ballpark 8k for full set up. Their are a lot of places to cut corners but you picked one of the most cost effective gallon per dollar ratio.

A 10x4x4 would be about double the price of a 8x4x3

i thought that would be true and as it is a dispaly tank for a small buisness i think we might go with either a 240 gallon standerd and maybe customize it myself. maybe as zapher said but instead make it acroos seperating the tank except make space at top it would help if this was a cichlid tank with turf wars.
